As a society we seemed to be more interested in how fast we consume our food whether it be at the local fast food restaurant or at home. Fast Foods require fast production, hence the industrial farm.
When purchasing our beef you are making a conscious decision to bypass the industrial farm or as they are called now Centralized Animal Feeding Operations (CAFO). The industrial farm is all about processing livestock & meats in the fastest way possible. Speed is the number one priority of the CAFO system. Other concerns are secondary. This is why Industrial farming pairs well with the concept of fast food.
Whether your issue is animal welfare, environmental concern, health benefits or taste, at the 2S Ranch... we get it. The way in which we raise and treat our animals is very different than the process used in the industrial feedlot complex. We slow down. We treat our animals with respect. We rotationally graze our cattle on native grasses. When cows are finished on grass (and not corn or grain) the animals are happier, the meat is healthier and the taste/ flavor of the beef is robust.
