Simmons Family Thanksgiving Traditions

We gather, share, play, cook, create, and pray together.

We will gather: Three generations of one family under one roof.

We will share: Each family comes prepared to share what they are thankful for.

We will play: There will be  games of "42", fun placemats for the Grands to color, late afternoon walks, plenty of interesting conversations, & some football games to watch.

We will cook a feast: Martye makes her famous pumpkin bread and Bart cooks a trashcan turkey...and there will be about 15 side dishes and several desserts too.

We will create: A memory book (or in this case a table cloth)......Everyone signs and dates the white table cloth in the dining room.  Later Martye embroiders the signatures with various colored thread.  This is a family tradition carried down from my Grandparents.

We will pray together and give thanks to our Creator for our friends, family and the many blessings He has bestowed on us this year.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Simmons
